• Mustarishtam is an Ayurvedic medicine, bitter sweet in taste, manufactured by Arya Vaidya Sala Kottakkal Company. Mustarishtam is used to treat digestive complaints like diarrhoea, indigestion, etc. It is also known as Mustakarishta, Mustarishta, Mustakadyarishta.
• Benefits: It is used in the treatment of digestive disorders. It helps to improve digestion power. Relieves bloating, diarrhoea, gastro-enteritis. Doctors also prescribe this for the treatment of Diarrhea, dysentery and Irritable bowel syndrome associated with antibiotic usage, Vomiting and anorexia in children.
• Dosage: 15 to 30 ml for adults and 5 to 10 ml for children or as directed by the Physician. To be taken twice daily after food.
• Ingredients: Musta, Jaggery, Dhataki, Yamani, Ginger, Pepper, Clove, Fenugreek seeds, Chitraka, White Caraway seeds.
• Side Effects: Overdose may cause gastritis. However, it is better to use this under medical supervision.
