• Jirakadyarishtam is an Ayurvedic medicine, used in post natal care, manufactured by Arya Vaidya Sala Kottakkal Company. Jirakadyarishtam is one of the potent liquid Ayurvedic formulations which is named after Jeeraka (Cumin). Cumin is one of its main ingredients. It contains 3 to 5% of alcohol which is generated naturally.
• Benefits: It is a potent remedy for a Vata imbalance. It helps in strengthening and toning nerves, muscles and bones, nourishes the body, increases strength and improves digestion.
• It is also included as part of Ayurvedic diet after delivery. It promotes lactation and helps to improve immunity of the mother.
• It is useful in conditions like neuralgia, arthritis, spondylosis, etc.
• Dosage: Children – 5 to 10 ml
• Adults – 20 to 40 ml
• Older Adults – 20 ml
• To be taken after meals in divided doses with an equal quantity of water and the maximum dose should not exceed more than 60 ml.
